If you need a mini mill my experience is to buy one new. I couldn't find anything that wasn't a wreck for less then the price of the HF 40939. Lathes should be both cheaper and easier to find on the used market. Definitely go old American iron here. Import mills aren't bad. I loathe every hobby sized import lathe I've ever touched.
